Dave Giardina, PTA, ATC
Physical Therapist Assistant, Sports Rehab Expert
Dave is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant as well as a nationally certified athletic trainer. He has a total of 30 years experience in the field of physical rehabilitation and sports medicine. Dave previously owned his own physical therapy facility in Chalmette before becoming a victim of Hurricane Katrina. He started his career as an athletic trainer for the Tulane University Athletic Department before becoming the Director of Sports Medicine for the St. Bernard School system. Dave is the past president of the Louisiana Athletic Trainer Association and is a member of the Athletic Trainer Hall of Fame and has been presented with the Jim Finks Award for the advancement of sports medicine in Louisiana. Dave has presented at the American Physical Therapy Association meeting, the Louisiana Sports Medicine Society, and the Louisiana Athletic Trainers Annual Symposium. His special contribution to the NORTH Institute is his great experience with orthopaedic extremity conditions.
